Mark your calendars – Wednesday in the Fox Valley

    Daytime – Wednesday, November 11
WMC, in partnership with the Marshfield Clinic, Pfizer Inc., the Rauser Agency and WPS Health Insurance, is hosting a series of briefings on the current status and substance of health care reform at both the state and federal level. The briefing features Michael Tanner, Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute, as well as an update from WMC staff on Wisconsin-specific health care legislation.

Michael Tanner heads research into a variety of domestic policies with a particular emphasis on health care reform, welfare policy, and Social Security. Tanner’s writings have appeared in nearly every major American newspaper, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times,Wall Street Journal, and USA Today. You’ve no doubt seen Tanner on C-Span or Fox News or any number of news/analysis/policy/politics programs in the last decade. He’s sharp and very well studied. He’s conservative. I like him and look forward to hearing him up close and personal.

    Nighttime – Wednesday, November 11
“THE GROUP” from Appleton meeting at 8:00 p.m. at the Old Bavarian Restaurant, 3025 W. College Ave. Appleton.
    • 8:00: Meet and Greet 8th Congressional District Republican primary candidate and Kaukauna business owner Reid Ribble
    • 9:00 or so: Meet and Greet Craig Fletcher, Republican primary candidate in the 5th Assembly District (currently represented by Dem. Tom Nelson)
The “GROUP” guys have purchased a good quantity of pocket books of the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence. These things are great. I have one in the car, one in my briefcase and one in my purse. And my kids all have at least one as well. The handy dandy books will be offered for a suggested donation of $2.

Future meetings – same place, same time
    • December 9: Andy Williams, 8th Congressional District Republican primary candidate, Brown County Supervisor and attorney
    • January 13: Marc Savard, 8th congressional District Republican primary candidate, Door County Supervisor, organic farmer and committed Tea Party organizer.
    • March 10: Terri McCormick, as yet unannounced 8th Congressional District Republican primary candidate, former 56th District Representative and former 8th District primary candidate.
