More Obama giveaways
I promised the middle class I’d protect them and by gum, I will not leave their side. I will not let them slide into the abyss without offering the welcoming hand of the government.
President’s Obama’s outreach to the middle class, via tomorrow night's State of the Union address, is pure posturing and politics. AND it pure and simple increases reliance of Americans on the government. Damn.
But according to The Associated Press, the President is offering “help for people struggling to pay bills and care for their families, appealing to a middle class he says has been ‘under assault for a long time.’”
We Americans must absolutely stop our government from more and more handouts to those further away from poverty. Enough is enough. Enough. Some of us must say Enough. Would the programs help some of us struggling? Yes. But when has the government done Enough? Enough!
Choose your candy:
- Doubling of the child care tax credit for families earning under $85,000
- Capping of student loan payments at 10% of income above ‘a basic living allowance’
- Forgiving college debt after 10 years if working in “public service” and after 20 years for all others [What?]
- Expanding tax credits to encourage employer retirement savings match
- Increasing aid for families taking care of elderly relatives
- Requiring many employers to provide a workplace-based retirement savings plan
This is political posturing. Pure and simple. AND it gives away my tax money. AND it increases America’s debt. AND most important of all… it makes more and more in America ever more dependent on the government. Enough is enough.
