    Ron Johnson covers the waterfront

Interesting. My answer machine yesterday flashed with an endorsement of Ron Johnson for U.S. Senate from former State Senator and former Lieutenant Governor Margaret Farrow. And from Don Pridemore, this little news:
I believe Ron exhibits the same core values and sound principles that I have. He also comes from a growing list of citizens that want to take back their government from the career politicians.
From the center to the far right of Republican politics in Wisconsin. His first day out. THAT is impressive.

Please continue Mr. Johnson. Give us reasons to vote for you, because the rest of the ticket leaves much to want...

Amen, Richard! Johnson's Senate launch was handled well. He hired a good consultant. Sounds like they did some prepaid calls. Got good media coverage. And Ron's willing to "spend what's necessary" to win. All good signs. However, I'm concerned that all the candidates are focusing too much on Obamacare instead of jobs. If conservatives want to understand the loss in Jack Murtha's old district, it's because Burns focused too much on Obamacare when he should have been discussing jobs and unemployment. Obamacare could have been part of that narrative, but it should not have been the predominant issue in that campaign. It's about messaging, and Johnson would be wise not to follow the PA example. He should instead tell people how Obamacare affects a businesses decision not to hire. How higher taxes leads to less employment. How "cap and tax" legislation would stifle jobs. Jobs, jobs, jobs will be issue in November. The candidates (across the spectrum) that understand this, will likely be going to Washington after November.
