    Lots going on this week

One of my favorite Tea Party groups – the NEW Patriots – meet in Morrison at the Evergreen Bar and Grill. Nothing more American than that – and great pizza to boot! Tomorrow night they’re hosting a forum of five gubernatorial candidates you’ve never heard of. Seriously, who are these guys, does each of them have all his marbles – and more importantly and seriously, why do they run? I’m curious. The NEW Patriots require order and host an excellent Q&A session. Fun place to be. Participating candidates:
    • Timothy John (D)
    • Scott Paterick (R)
    • John Scheiss (R)
    • Erick Scoglio (L)
    • Travis Swenby (R)
    Tuesday June 8, 7 PM
Evergreen Bar and Grill, 7075 Morrison Rd., Morrison

Wisconsin Right to Life hosts Lila Rose
I wrote about Lila Rose last December - the UC Santa Barbara college kid responsible for a video exposing how the Appleton Abortion Clinic “informs” young women about the lack of life they’re soon to remove. I’m looking forward to hearing her in person. Wednesday evening, by invitation. Contact me for further information.

Outagamie County Republican Party Pints ‘n Politics
Fun gab sessions, strategizing sessions, politicking, arm twisting, Congress ridiculing. Fun had by all.
    Wednesday, June 9, 5:30 – 8 PM
Cheyenne’s Bar and Grill, 124 N. Appleton St., Appleton

    Judge McGinnis holds open court
It will be in my courtroom on the second floor of the Outagamie County Justice Center. The discussion will include talking about Outagamie County's Volunteer In Offender Services (VIOS) program. There will be several people present from VIOS to provide information and answer questions. There will be time to ask questions and discuss other subjects that may interest you. I will provide pizza.

If you are interested in attending, please let Nancy know [leave your name and phone number] at 832-5152. I want to make sure there is enough pizza.
Registration is preferred, but isn't necessary.
    Thursday, June 10, noon – 1 PM
Outagamie County Justice Center, 320 S. Walnut St., Appleton

Outagamie Republican Party Flag Day Picnic
Good food, great discussion; as many nomination forms as possible will be available for signing by interested voters.
Saturday, June 12, 4:00 – 6:00 [Correction - folks may arrive as early as 2:45 - food will be ready!]
Pierce Park, 1206 W. Prospect Ave., Appleton

    Scott Walker Meet and Greet
Immediately following the Flag Day parade
    Saturday, June 12, 4:00 – 5:00
Jones Park, just north of the Paper Valley Hotel in Downtown Appleton

    COMMENTS

Jo, the "After Parade Picnic" begins immediately after the parade is over. Those at the beginning of the parade, watching or walking, leave earlier and arrive at the picnic around 2:30 - 2:45 PM. We don't want people to think we've changed that policy.

Also, we'll be displaying as many nomination papers for signature as we've been able to download, so we'd like as many people as possible to show up at the picnic.
