John Gard endorses Reid Ribble
John Gard has endorsed Reid Ribble for Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District Republican nomination to challenge Steve Kagen this fall. Gard, a business owner, was the Republican nominee in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District in 2006 and 2008. He also served as a speaker of the State Assembly from 2003 to 2007.
I believe Reid Ribble has demonstrated his ability to create jobs and meet budgets and he is the best candidate to unseat Steve Kagen. Kagen's policies have burdened America with debt beyond our imagination and unemployment that has devastated many families in northeastern Wisconsin. It's time for a new direction and Reid Ribble is the right person for the job.” stated Gard. He added, “Ribble is the one person in this race that can beat Steve Kagen and I believe this election comes down to a choice between the big government, more debt, higher taxes and high unemployment record of Steve Kagen and a smaller government, lower taxes, and vibrant job growth plan from conservative Reid Ribble.
Ribble, a former small business owner, has raised more money than any of his GOP Primary competitors.
“I am honored and truly humbled to have John’s endorsement. I will continue to work hard each and every day in this campaign to earn his vote and the vote of all residents in the 8th,” Ribble stated in response to the endorsement.

COMMENTS
The same John Gard that has twice lost this seat and has endorsed Mark Nuemann. I like John Gard but I think this endorsement is of small help at best.
If anything Mr. Gard has alienated GOP Primary voters who intend to support Scott Walker for Governor.
Reid Ribble has a good campaign and the biggest war chest, however Mr. Roth appears to have the best ground game, and may be an election day surprise!

The same John Gard who lived in a house under his wife's name only in Sun Prairie and then claimed his home of record in Peshtigo so he could claim $88.00 a day out of Dane County rate instead of the $44.00 a day Dane County rate.
Your character is judged on the people you surround yourself with. Anyone who would take John Gard on their campaign has judgement issues.
