Mad as heck and not going to take it anymore

“This guy doesn’t even know who Terry Kohler is” –that's how a friend started telling me about Bill Kerwin – fun. You see, Kerwin's a guy that wants to make a difference – and doesn’t know the GOP’s recent national committeeman. Oh my.

The Kohler story is a bit of an exaggeration. Bill Kerwin, a manager with Pemco in Sheboygan, has indeed met and worked with Terry Kohler – but not in the political realm.

Here’s what’s so great. Kerwin knows what he believes – and he acts on it.

A fiscal conservative and a born-again Christian, this human resources manager likes what he hears from Newt Gingrich. Kerwin recommends one of Gingrich’s more recent treatises, Rediscovering God in America: Reflections on the role of faith in our nation’s history (Thomas Nelson, 2006). And while we’re talking books, Kerwin also recommends Troublesome Young Men by Lynne Olson (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2007), which follows 30 odd junior members of Parliament as they work to illuminate the failings of Lord Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement. Sounds absolutely fascinating, gets 4 ½ stars from Amazon - and begs to be read.

Ok. How to make a difference
    • Kerwin joins the GOP after President Clinton is elected, becoming disillusioned when he saw the GOP increasing state and federal spending. Plain, simple middle-aged guy in the community.

    …….Fast forward to a few weeks ago….

    • Kerwin learns, via a Gingrich update, about American Solutions, a hands-on workshop this Saturday on how to make a difference, Gingrich style. Televised via interactive satellite, around the country.
    • Kerwin volunteers to help, via the web site
    • Kerwin sets up a satellite viewing site at Lakeshore Technical College, Cleveland Campus
    • And then Kerwin sets out to invite everyone in Sheboygan. I mean everyone. The City Council. The mayor. The county board. The county administrator. Nick Reed, talking head on WHBL (who’s pushing Solutions on his show and will be there). And even a past chair of the Democratic Party.

This guy is a keeper. The real thing, he stands for righteousness and morality, following in the footsteps of our founding fathers. A real family man and a great granddad. And lo and behold, this worker bee lives the faith of our founding fathers, believing that without morality and virtue in America, we won’t survive.

So Bill Kerwin is out to do his one small bit for American survival. And survival of a fiscally conservative America at that. Great.

Any Green Bay Area readers who want to attend this workshop can do so at NWTC, 9/27 & 9/29. Contact Andy Miller at amiller@new.rr.com , a similar Mad-as-HELL-and-ain't-gonna-take-it-anymore individual who is organizing this site. See you there.
